Housing
Summer is one of the best (and, yes, one of the HOTTEST),
times to look for an apartment in Tucson because nearly
every community has some vacancies, and many offer special
rates during the summer.
To
receive a free copy of The Greater Tucson Apartment
Guide, write to 1820 E. River Rd., Ste. 200, Tucson,
AZ 85718-5991. Although this book is not comprehensive,
it will give you an idea of what to expect regarding rent
and locations.
Also,
check the Tucson phonebook for a variety of apartment
locator services, some of which are free. Be cautious--some
of these services charge a fee and provide the same information
to be found in the local newspaper’s classified
ads.
Other Resources
Students
may also advertise for a roommate or ask housing-related
questions on the UA-LSO listserv.

University recently celebrated the opening of its only
