12 p.m. - 1:20, the day's topic
1:20 - 1:30, break
1:30 - 1:50, student presentation #1
1:50 - 2:10, student presentation #2
2:10 - 2:30, clarifications, questions, continuation of discussion of topics raised by the two presentations, etc.; if time permits, we will continue with the day's topic

Class 3 September 12th Subject selection; two student presentations

Class 4 September 19th Structure and arrangement of entries; two student presentations

Class 5 September 26th Cross-references; two student presentations

Class 6 October 3rd Names and their problems; two student presentations

Class 7 October 10th Introduction to indexing software; two student presentations

Class 8 October 17th Guest speakers

Class 9 October 24th Special subjects in indexing; two student presentations

Class 10 October 31st Format and layout of indexes; Editing the index; Index quality; two student presentations

Class 11 November 7thEmbedded indexing; Online indexing; two student presentations

Class 12 November 14th Thesaurus construction; two student presentations

Class 13 November 21st Assignment C is due. Abstracting; two student presentations

No Class November 28th Thanksgiving; Have a good holiday!

Class 14 December 5th Assignment A is due. Running an indexing business

Marks will be submitted to SIRLS by December 20th.
